Three Rivers Stadium in 1970
You are looking at a beautiful, full-color, limited edition, hand numbered print (only 250 in the series) featuring extremely rare classic views of Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA as it looked when it first opened in 1970. The scoreboard was huge, hanging from the second tier in centerfield, the grass was a 3M product called "Tartan Turf," and the infield was still dirt (eventually it was replaced with more artificial turf and sliding areas. Three Rivers Stadium will live forever as the site of Franco Harris' Immaculate Reception and Roberto Clemente's 3000th hit. The photos on the print were obtained from original Kodachrome color negatives. As such they are first generation reproductions which are super sharp and color true. It measures approximately 13 inches by 19 inches. It can be stunning when matted and framed and will be a great addition to any home or office.
